Client had designed a new part to use in the Aluminium Door profile. They wished to source tooling and product from a manufacturer in Asia.
Cost was an important factor here, as the volume is not high, but the function of the part is really important. Part also required a Hydraulic slide.
We presented 3 options to the client for tooling. With our recommendation to use a medium grade steel tool with a shot life of 100k parts. The client agreed with our solution and was very happy with the price.
Customer receives weekly report on the tooling progress, and can see everything on schedule with pictures provided on the various tool components.
Full trial report after very successful T1 Trial. Just 3 weeks after the project started.
The tooling manufacturer, also has a molding facility and the client is now sourcing the final product directly from the manufacturer.
